Front Steps project

This project consists of replacing some existing steps.  It will take the existing foot print and improve on it ever so slightly.  The proposed look will be quite different with lowered benches and lines that are more gentle.

Here is a sketch I drew to develop and design the live rendering

Here is a rendering of a bathroom project I will be doing in Pelican Rapids.  This is a Mother's/ Father's Day gift that I will be giving to my Mom and Step Dad.  We will be kicking this off in about two weeks so watch for befores and afters.  This project will be featured on my bathroom website located at www.paragonbathrooms.com.

Here is a rendering of a bathroom project on an upper level of an older home.  The existing bathroom is only about 30 square feet in size and the new space proposes to increase the bathroom by about 15 square feet.  This new design incorporates a new stand up shower as the existing design has the tub right under a dormer so a person has to bend off to the side just to get into the tub.

This new design also moves walls, refinishes flooring, paints common areas as well as one of the bedrooms and brings back some of the historical value that has been lost throughout the years from homeowners doing their own work.

Here is a project with two variations.  One design with the shower walls tiled in subway tile and one with a contemporary design.  This project has a diagonal tile lay as the homeowner did not want to consider traditional hex or basketweave tiles on this project.  They said that there would be too much grout in the bathroom.  The homeowner had also already purchased the materials for this project.  They wanted to do this project on a shoestring budget and gain stunning results.  This is quite possible and most of these projects can be accomplished by using stock materials and forgoing special order materials.

The second variation has a fun track and asks some really fun questions about life in general.  This is fun just to check out even if you are not interested in the project to help you ponder the purpose of life and the meaning of happiness.  "What if?"

Here is a presentation for a client that took on water during the 2009 flood.  This basement is in a home built in the era when dark wood work and beams on the ceilings were popular.  This basement has dark paneled walls, bright green linoleum, and Mahogony colored flush hollow core doors.

This new design proposes removing all of the paneling and stripping down the beams.  It proposes utilizing the area outside of the bar area as a bistro area with table and chairs.  It proposes removing some shelving that is above the sidebars and aslo using some splashes of color.  It revamps the bar area and replaces all of the countertops with ne laminate countertops.  It replaces all of the hollow core doors with new 6 panel oak doors. The trim would change from ranch style to a more contemporary colonial oak profile.

It incorporates a mixed use of carpet and vinyl for floor coverings and appropriates the floor coverings to address the common areas versus the comfort areas.

It is a real transformation into the year 2009 and I also proposed installing recessed lighting to really brighten the space drastically.
