Kitchen Renovation This kitchen renovation is located in West Fargo, ND. The project occurred due to too many spaghetti
noodles being placed down the garbage disposal and the drain plugging. The client used Liquid plumber
to try and free the plug but the pipe seals were eaten instead. The problem was detected when the poorly
plumbed pipes began to leak downstairs behind a finished wall. The shotty plumbing was performed by a
previous homeowner I suspect.
The cabinets, countertops and flooring will all be replaced as part of this renovation.
installed in the kitchen and the dining room. The house had faux wood beams that you can see remains
of on the ceiling and therefore the ceilings will need to be patched and retextured.
The new cabinets will be full length and will extend to the ceilings replacing the dead space that was present
previously in the soffits above the old cabinets.
The client has hired an electrician to install recessed and undercabinet lighting and will make a stunning
addition to the final project.
This project unfortunately was not photographed prior to the work commencing but will be updated as the
project continues.
This bank of cabinets is where the problem origionated...

During Pics
1/2 the kitchen has been removed and repair has begun...

The Kitchen has been patched, mudded and textured. The vents in both the Dining Room and the Ktchen have been
relocated and the ceiling sprayed with a medium popcorn texture to attempt matching the existing texture as closly
as possible. The walls were sprayed with a fine orange peel texture. The pictures below appear to be blotchy as
some spots of the texture are still wet.

Progress continues...
The cabinets are in and now there is a wait on the countertops. The countertop manufacturer is
going to try and have them ready for Friday but we will just have to see what happens.
The over the range microwave and dishwasher are being delivered in the morning and the
microwave will be installed sometime tomorrow.
The outlets are being updated to designer style and will give the space a modern feel.

What is left? The switches all need to be changed out to the designer style, dimmers installed, ceiling fan installed,
baseboard stained and installed, some touch up of areas, door and window casing reinstalled, recessed l
ight baffles installed, sink installed, faucet installed, garbage disposal installed and a final cleaning.

For any who are asking if I install my laminate floors under the appliances, yes always!!!
For those of you who question this practice I view this from an appliance installer viewpoint it is a pain
to get at the front feet of a dishwasher when they are recessed below the level of the laminate floor.
This is an additional step yes but it makes the removal of appliances that much smoother and makes for
a very nice finished product. I do not believe in cutting corners to save a bit of time here or there.
The mark of excellence is acheived by the "details" not the "shortcuts".
